Sony laptops have unveiled a new addition to their Vaio range which the company claims represents a green, environmentally friendly option for those looking to buy a new notebook.
This comes on the back of the assertion that the new Sony laptops Vaio model apparently offers a 10% reduction in production-based CO2 emissions when compared to previous machines in the W series.
The new Sony laptops model is called the Sony Vaio W series Eco Edition mini notebook and uses recycled plastics in its manufacture to achieve the carbon saving.
Other eco-friendly aspects of the Sony laptops Eco Edition include a paperless manual (all documentation is stored on the machine itself), an efficient Atom N450 processor and innovative packaging: the laptop comes in a purpose-built carry case, rather than a cardboard box.
Specs include Windows 7 Starter Edition, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard disk drive and up to 8.5 hours battery life.
