Hi-Tech company Toshiba have announced a new duo of ultra-thin laptops with ‘all-day’ batteries. The T230 and the T210 are both extremely low voltage machines and have been designed as an update on the company’s T130 and T110 series.
Both laptops are equally slim; at their thinnest point they measure only 17.6mm, they both run Windows 7 Premium and both offer 8.5 hour battery lives. Additional features included are 2 USB ports, a Multi-Card Reader, HDMI connectivity, Bluetooth capabilities and an integrated webcam.
In most other ways, however, the laptops differ. The T230 is by far the higher end model; it is powered by Intel’s latest i3 chip in comparison to the T210’s U5400 and has a 4GB memory and 500GB hard drive to the T210’s 3GB memory and 250GB hard drive. The laptops also come in different colours with the T230 available in black and the T210 available in red.
The new Toshiba laptops will arrive in the UK in July and, while prices are as yet unconfirmed, it seems reasonable to expect that the T210 which be considerably cheaper than its brother.
