Tech company Compaq is aiming for the popular cheap laptop market with their new Presario CQ62Z, a lightweight budget machine now available for purchase.
The laptop has a display size of 15.6-inch and, at a 1366x768 resolution and with an ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics card, the screen is one of its best features. It also comes with the Windows 7 Home Premium already installed as well as Microsoft Office Starter 2010 and is fully Wifi compatible.
Running on an AMD V120 2.2GHz single core processor is not the most powerful laptop available but with its 250GB hard disk and 2GB of RAM, functions better than some other similarly cheap laptops.
Though the standard inbuilt 6 cell battery has not fared well in power tests, the budget price tag of £260 means that it performs acceptably well for such a cheap laptop.
