Visual technology manufacturers ViewSonic have announced the release of their new ViewSonic 106 LED. While the company is calling the series of laptops notebooks, the lightweight design and 10-inch screen seems to make the ViewSonic 106 LED more of a netbook.

The price and availability date of the ViewSonic 106 LED has not yet been released but ViewSonic has revealed that its laptops will boast an impressive processing speed through inclusion of the Intel Atom N450 processor and will run full Windows 7.

The laptop also comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities along with EDR which will allow users full mobile phone and wireless headphone connectivity. It will include 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, two USB ports and a card reader and LED backlighting on the screen means that the battery life will be significantly longer than other similarly small laptops.

The release of ViewSonic's new ViewSonic 106 LED comes at a time when the laptop market is threatening to be overrun with tablets and it remains to be seen whether the model's impressive features will hold up against the fashionable new laptops.
