Laptop deals from Acer could soon see the arrival of a cutting edge new design as reports have started to surface that the company is preparing to introduce a new laptop which doesn't have a frame or back casing on its screen.

The laptop deals already offered by Acer are known for their sleek looks but the new model would be a step into the unknown for the manufacturer.

If the reports are true, new Acer laptop deals would feature machines made with a toughened glass screen, preventing the need for a plastic casing or frame. There would also be a touchscreen keyboard, which could display different keys depending on which programs were running.

There's no official word yet on when the new laptop deals will be available, although with similar designs already in progress at Fujitsu and Asus, industry watchers expect to see the frameless laptop soon.
