Free laptop with broadband deals have been awarded to a number of lucky community groups courtesy of generous telecoms provider BT, it has been revealed.

Several groups in the Norwich area were given free laptop with broadband bundles after the company invited applications from organisations who felt they were deserving of the prize.

BT had a panel of judges to assess each free laptop with broadband application, with the successful candidates being given brand new machines and year's worth of internet access free of charge.

The free laptop with broadband bundles will be a boon to the community groups, many of whom struggle to raise funds for things such as computers and web access. It is thought they will be used to provide laptop training and internet services to underprivileged group members.

The free laptop with broadband awards were made as part of BT's Community Connections project.
