It might seem to some that acquiring a laptop is an expensive exercise. Many companies now, however, offer free laptop deals with their mobile broadband packages as an incentive for new buyers. While this seems like a foolproof way to get your hands on a free laptop, there are a number of things to look out for when choosing a free laptop deal.
Know your provider - Most major networks like 3, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and O2 offer free laptops deals. While a lesser known network might be cheaper, the larger brands are likely to have a better range for mobile broadband so it is important to research network capabilities.
Monthly payments - Though it is possible to get hold of a free laptop deal with less than £20 per month repayments, it is worthwhile remembering that this usually means a significant compromise on the laptop's specs so be sure to check you are getting the best deal. The normal rate of pay is usually around £20 - £30 per month.
Contract length - Most of the contracts available with free laptop deals last 24 months but some, at the same price, last only 18. Be sure to check contract length before you buy.
