Cheap laptop bundle prices vary by country
According to Mikael Ricknas of IDG News Service, the price of high speed broadband services is dictated by the country the customer lives in. Experts say that the ‘dramatically different’ pricing around the world effects customers’ broadband and cheap laptop prices among other services.
It could be that the amount of competition present in certain countries is driving prices down, while countries with one provider are forced to pay increasingly higher prices for their high speed broadband. Cheap laptop prices are speculated to vary for much the same reason.
Supporting this theory, service charges in Australia have been shown to cost almost three times as much as those in Austria, a country where the competition between broadband providers is high.
The variation in price for broadband and cheap laptops in different countries could also have a great deal to do with size and population distribution, says Nick Ingelbrecht, Gartner Research Director.
