In an upgrade to its N120 range, Samsung has announced the new NB30 series. Boasting a variety of new features and a novel tough plastic case, the Samsung NB30 is a high quality cheap laptop. Most importantly however, in a MobileMark battery life test, the NB30 was able to last an astonishing 11 hours granting it one of the longest battery lives of any cheap laptop.

The NB30 has a thick black plastic case which is optimised by an embossed pattern to guarantee good grip. For such a cheap laptop the NB30 range also possesses an impressive motion sensor which ensures that the hard drive locks should the laptop be dropped.

The laptop’s other features include a neat 10.1-inch display, a webcam and mic, one memory card and three USB slots, 1GB of ram and an option of either a 160Gb or 250GB hard drive. The display is also designed with an anti-glare matt finish, making it easier to use than many reflective screens.
