Dell laptops - design of the times
Those in the market for a laptop, and indeed those who already own one, may well be aware of the impersonal nature of laptop design.
The general trend is for plain black, white or silver motifs, and it rarely varies. However, it seems trends and personal tastes are changing, and Dell laptops are embracing this.
It’s nothing new to hear that Dell laptops can be customised by selecting a certain cover colour. On occasion, limited-edition designs have been available for Dell laptops. However, when you now purchase one of the Studio 15 or 17 model Dell laptops, you get to choose your cover art from the new Dell laptops Design Studio.
Choose your art with Dell
The Design Studio allows users to personalise their Dell laptops as little or as much as they like. Designs range from plain colours to intricate artwork, some of which can be ‘layered’ and colour changed to create the ideal customised picture.
Comprising of 112 different designs, many of which are available to alter, Dell laptops now technically offer over 200 artwork designs.
Sales and marketing president for Dell’s global consumer business, Michael Tatelman, shared his opinion on the exciting new customisation tool for Dell laptops. He said: “It used to be processors and software that people specified when buying a laptop. Now they can pick from over 200 designs commissioned by Dell.”
As Dell is a giant in the computing industry, it will be interesting to see if other laptop manufacturers follow suit and begin offering the personal touch.
