Asus laptops have announced plans to release a new machine in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, set to be one of the widest laptops on the market.

The new Asus laptops model, which has been christened the Asus NX90, will be 18-inches wide at the top, with an 18:9 widescreen display and two powerful Bang & Olufsen speakers sitting either side.

The speakers, which feature ICEpower technology, are said to frame the display in a way "reminiscent of high-end consumer flat screen televisions," according to Asus laptops.

As well as the ultra-wide body, another unique feature of the new Asus laptops model is that the trackpad will sit on the right hand side of the keyboard, rather than beneath it.

The Asus laptops NX90 Bang & Olufsen ICEpower notebook will be available in an ultra-stylish aluminium finish and be powered by Windows 7, ensuring it keeps pace with the latest Asus laptops.
