A revolution in notebooks is around the corner as Acer laptops prepare to launch their new Aspire Timeline 1820P model.

The machine, which runs Windows 7 and boasts an Intel Core 2 Duo processor along with 8GB of DDR3 memory, has an innovative design which allows the screen section to be rotated around a central pivot.

This, says Acer laptops, will make it perfect for use as a presenting tool or photo frame. The machine has an 11.6-inch display and up to 8 hours battery life.

Another new feature for the Acer laptops machine is touchscreen capability, which lets users access the Acer laptops TouchPortal, for "applications and fun gadgets," or use the bundled TouchMemo software in conjunction with stylus input.

The new Acer laptops model also carries a multi-gesture touchpad and a full-size keyboard for users who prefer the touch of keys, rather than the screen, on their fingertips.
