Asus laptops have released the details of a new 3D machine produced in association with Nvidia's 'active shutter' 3D vision technology.
The new Asus laptops model, the G51J 3D, is pitched at the gaming laptops market, with a super-sharp 15.6-inch display, a GeForce GTX 260M graphics card, Intel Core i7 processor and Altec Lansing speakers.
What make the machine really interesting is the addition of 3D technology, a first for Asus laptops. The screen had a 120Hz display, which is split between the users' eyes and their 3D shutter shades, making images appear as if they are leaping out from the screen.
The Asus laptops will come with a copy of the 3D Avatar game, with the news that more than 400 existing titles, including the likes of Resident Evil 5 and Batman: Arkham Asylum, can be converted to 3D set to further increase appeal among hardcore gamers.
